The Ambassador of Colombia to the United States (Spanish: Embajador(a) de Colombia a los Estados Unidos) is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary and chief of mission of the Government of Colombia to the Government of United States, the officeholder is charged with representing the interest of the President and Government of Colombia in the United States and advancing the relations between Colombia and the United States.
In accordance with the Colombian presidential Decree 0087 of 1994,[1] and Decree 2028 of 2004[2] the monthly salary for the Colombian Ambassador is of USD$10,000.00, one of the highest paid posts of the Colombian government.
